Juno (2007)

Rating: 8.5/10

Juno is an indie comedy drama from 2007, Oscar winner for Best Original Screenplay (Diablo Cody) and last but not least, today’s choice for Tune On Tuesday.

Ellen Page is Juno, a 16-year-old who discovers to be pregnant of Paulie (Michael Cera). In this movie we travel with this quirky teenager through the difficuly road of options regarding her child. This film is not really about the plot: it’s the classical example of a simple story that can become awesome by the way is told.

Give an award to Mateo Messina because the music he put together is awesome. The first time I saw the film I hummed “All I Want is You” by Barry Louis Polisar for maybe a week. Generally, all the songs are indie rock and very downloadable; if you, like me have a movie soundtrack playlist, cancel some useless apps and make space for this music. You won’t regret it!

Juno, also starring Jennifer Garner, Jason Bateman, Allison Janney, J. K. Simmons; directed by Jason Reitman; written by Diablo Cody; cinematography by Eric Steelberg.

May the corn pop for you.
