MOTHER’S DAY (Fri 10th June) What do Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts, Kate Hudson and Jason Sudeikis do when they meet? They are mums, or they have mums, or they are man-mums: sort of like all other humans, but they don’t look all scruffy, like we do when we deal with toddlers, so yeah a movie about your life, just prettier and hopefully funnier. The-Boss-Footage-3THE BOSS (Fri 10th June) Melissa McCarthy is hilarious in this riotous comedy. You have already seen her pooping in a sink, so even though that probably cannot be topped, here she is a wealthy business-woman who ends up in jail and, when out she has to cope living with her former PA (Kristen Bell). Personally I just think it’s worth seeing for Peter Dinklage, gotta love him. (99 mins) Watch Trailer Here

maxresdefaultLEARNING TO DRIVE (Fri 10th June) Comedy starring Sir Ben Kingsley as a kind Indian driver instructor and Patricia Clarkson (Shutter Island) as a stressed New-Yorker learning to drive, after being left by her husband for a younger woman. A touching story of friendship and enriching cultural differences. (90 mins) Watch Trailer Here

the-whole-truth-trailerTHE WHOLE TRUTH (Fri 10th June) Thriller starring Keanu Reeves as a defence attorney, determined to find out the truth about what happened to his client and his murdered father. (94 mins) Watch Trailer Here

marnie_screenshotWHEN MARNIE WAS THERE (Fri 10th June) Oscar nominated Studio Ghibli animation is finally out here! Based on the novel by Joan Robinson, even though settled in Sapporo and not in Norfolk (England), like the novel. This movie is actually from 2014, and it could be the last work released by Studio Ghibli, after the internal hiatus they had during the making of The Tales of The Princess Kaguya and the retirement of Hayao Miyazaki.
